Fishing Report Week of May 18, 2008: Anchored at 'The Tracks', 24" walleye caught in 8' of water on a 1/8 oz. Chartreuse Jig tipped with a minnow. Fishing in the same spot a few casts later netted a 27" walleye. A 22" was also hooked here. These walleye were all released. This fishing spot is close to the camp near a spawing area. Limits of male eating size walleye were taken for the dinner table by the party of fishermen. Along with the walleye, this spot produced several nice pike up to 36".

The water level is high. The daytime temps have been about 40 to 45 degrees F with rain and snow flurries. The ice has been out for about one week and the wter temp is 35 to 40 degrees F.

Fishing a Devizes Outlet this week produced a walleye every cast! Limits caught in 15 minutes.
