Cabins

Flindt Landing is a small camp with only two cabins and two modern cottages on a secluded island in the middle of nowhere. We can accommodate about twenty people when filled. At Flindt Landing you are “the guest” not just another guest. Because we are the only camp, and there are no private cottages in this remote area, you can fish different areas every day and probably not see another boat. Heathcote Lake always has been and remains to this day a limited-access lake offering trophy Walleye and Northern Pike opportunities. The water is crystal clear though tannin stained to a tea color – this is walleye water!

Caribou Cabin and Beaver Den are one room cabins that can accommodate up to four and include many amenities such as:

  • Kitchen sink
  • Pitcher pump with well water
  • Propane refrigerator with freezer
  • Propane cooking stove with oven
  • Heating stove
  • Table and chairs
  • Bunk beds and bedding
  • Propane lights
  • Electric lights in the evening
  • New, clean shower house
Eagle Nest and Moose Manor cottages are able to accommodate up to ten and include all the same furnishings as our other cabins as well as:

  • Two bedrooms
  • Kitchen with dining area
  • Inside three-piece bathroom with shower and flush toilet
  • Hot water in bathroom and at kitchen sink
  • Fireplace unit

Modern Cottage Black Bear is a walk-in outpost on South Heathcote Lake, which is 2 1/2 miles long and 1/2 mile wide with no access from the main lake, you have the whole lake to yourself.  The Flindt River rapids enter Heathcote Lake here.  There are also incoming rapids from an adjoining lake.  These two rapids are early season hot spots!
